Job Summary
Job Description
  • Provides program and project support for the Louisiana Department of Health’s (LDH) Quality initiatives, including the Louisiana Public University Partnership Program (PUPP) related activities, non-PUPP data requests, and other Quality programs and priorities.
  • Manage the Public University Partnership Program (PUPP), including coordinating solicitation of proposals from universities, contracts and invoicing, data requests, and related reporting.
  • Coordinate Medicaid data requests related to Quality Improvement. Collaborate with the LDH Institutional Review Board and LDH Medicaid Business Analytics.
  • Manages multiple strategic business projects and initiatives to achieve organizational objectives, fostering cross-functional collaboration with multiple departments.
  • Coordinates projects, milestones, deliverables, and follow-up activities, reporting progress, issues, and accomplishments to Quality leadership as needed.
  • Supports Quality leadership in developing and implementing strategic plans, priorities, and initiatives; anticipates key deliverables and proactively supports timely, high-quality completion.
  • Maintains a centralized tracking mechanism for Quality projects and initiatives, ensuring information is current, updated regularly, and aligned with Louisiana Department of Health priorities.
  • Supports Quality leadership by providing accurate and timely updates on projects, initiatives, data requests, results, challenges, and outstanding items on a weekly and ad-hoc basis.
  • Tracks and helps drive completion of key deliverables and follows up on outstanding items to support strategic planning and operational priorities.
  • Coordinates and responds to data and information requests from internal and external stakeholders, including requests that support Quality programs and initiatives.
  • Gathers, organizes, analyzes, and summarizes information from meetings, stakeholders, and available data sources to produce useful reports and recommendations.
  • Develops, updates, and maintains Quality section standard operating procedures and related documentation; supports compliance with LDH policies and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepares reports, trainings, presentations, dashboards, data summaries, and other materials as needed to support Quality leadership and program activities.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination between Quality and other departments within the organization.
  • Stays abreast of business processes, technology, and opportunities to automate, streamline, and modernize systems and workflows.
  • Conducts and/or supports meetings and presentations to share information, findings, project updates, and results; documents and communicates outcomes and action items.
  • Assists with event planning, program coordination, and other Quality activities as needed.
  • Handles confidential information with discretion and maintains appropriate confidentiality of program, personnel, and organizational information.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree plus 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience performing administrative functions within an office environment or health care field.
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience providing project or program support, including coordinating assignments, deliverables, timelines, or stakeholder requests.
  • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and follow up.
  • Ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.

DESIRED:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience performing administrative functions within an office environment or health care field.
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience providing project or program support, including coordinating assignments, deliverables, timelines, or stakeholder requests.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with relevant internal LDH systems and/or enterprise business systems.
  • Relevant industry certifications.

SALARY: 65-75k
