The opportunity
Hitachi Energy’s High Voltage Products division is a global leader in components for power transmission and distribution. Our Composites Factory in Klingnau plays a key role in producing insulation components for generator circuit breakers, gas-insulated switchgear, and technologies that support renewable energy integration. We also supply parts to the aerospace and railway sectors, and contribute to more efficient power generation.
We are seeking a Factory Quality and OPEX Manager – Insulation Components to lead the quality function at the factory level. In this role, you’ll apply your leadership and expertise to build and sustain a strong Quality Culture, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement through effective systems, tools, and team management. Your mission will be to meet customer expectations while driving operational excellence and long-term efficiency.

How you’ll make an impact
Oversee product and service quality, including decisions on non-conforming materials
Manage customer complaints from acknowledgment to resolution and reporting
Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
Maintain and improve the local Quality Management System (QMS)
Guide leadership in using metrics to monitor and improve performance
Lead Mission Control for quality and support internal/external audits
Drive the CAPA process across functions
Improve business outcomes through targeted quality initiatives
Promote continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma and other methods
Coordinate ISO certification efforts for the operating unit.
Deliver quality-related training to employees
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
3-5 years of experience in quality management, programming and/or project management
Proven experience in quality management, operations, lean manufacturing processes, and visual management is a must
Certified Quality Manager is preferred
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification is preferred
Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written
