 Role Overview 

The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the propulsion quality manufacturing processes to make sure the products produced meet quality standards and customers’ expectations. This organization is a recent Beehive industries acquisition, and this role will require effectively integrating this business into the Beehive quality organization in process, culture and strategy.  

 

What You'll Do... 

  • Developing and implementing quality standards 
  • Developing and implementing quality control systems 
  • Define and build out an organization that supports the Beehive APQP system. 
  • Lead a team building out APQP Control plans 
  • Coaching the team on effective inspection plans and how the quality control plan ensures zero customer disruptions and impacts 
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance
  • Collaborating with operations managers and engineers to develop and implement controls and improvements 
  • Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations 
  • Coaching and mentoring cross functional teams on Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues 
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements 
  • Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes 
  • Managing all personnel within the quality department 
  • Managing all auditing activities. (Customers, 3rd parties, certification organization, etc.) 
  • Active team leader, engaging teammates in discussions on quality and improvements even in a time with no active quality escapes 

You have... 

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace, industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or Relevant Experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role in manufacturing background 
  • 5+ years of management experience 
  • Strong background with AS9100 and ISO9001 systems 
  • Experience in the Aviation/Aerospace or Automotive manufacturing industry 
  • Experience with using QA software tools and processes 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
