Position Summary: 

As a Quality Manager you will be responsible for: developing the product quality system, in accordance with established Company policies, procedures, and objectives; ensure processes, products, and services meet established standards for quality, and that these standards are aligned with customer needs and expectations; and manage areas of responsibility with consideration to the efficiency, harmony and well-being of the Company and its employees, with strict adherence to high ethical business standards. 

Work You’ll Do: 

  • Direct the planning, implementation and maintenance of an effective quality assurance organization and quality system for processing information and materials into finished products, which could include, but is not limited to collecting, compiling, analyzing, and reporting quality data. 

  • Collaborate with the quality team within Coperion Germany to ensure the Coperion Quality System has global alignment on its policies, processes, documentation, and reporting. 

  • Manage Coperion’s compliance with ISO standards in the manufacturing area, and maintain the documentation required for the ISO certification and coordinate audits with ISO auditor. 

  • Develop, execute, and maintain strategies to improve equipment performance and reliability, minimize quality costs and increase customer satisfaction. 

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to ensure quality practices and standards are incorporated into manufacturing and engineering processes, and that quality standards are effectively established, documented, implemented, and audited.  

  • Develop and coordinate the implementation of quality plans, audit sheets, standards, and procedures required to support sales, engineering, purchasing and production processes. 

  • Develop, implement, and audit the training provided to associates in the proper use of the non-conformance reporting system. 

  • Drive the organization’s problem-solving activities related to lean initiatives. 

  • Drive the timely and cost-effective resolution of customer problems by coordinating the technical analysis of product failures and returned goods with appropriate resources from engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, subcontractors, and independent consultants. 

  • Other duties may be assigned. 

 
Team: 

The Quality Manager will be part of the site management team and will work closely with the production and engineering departments on site. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university in operations management or business or a combination of education and equivalent experience. 

  • 7+ years relevant experience in industrial environment. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in ISO 9001; 2015. 

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Office. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years manufacturing experience. 

  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Outstanding communication skills. 

  • Ability to adapt to flexible/changing schedules. 

  • Understanding of Lean Basics. 

  • Problem solving skills. 

  • Ability to openly discuss critical issues and deficiencies.  #LI-SC1
