**This role can be located in either our Madison, Wisconsin or Houston, Texas location.**

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Be a visible quality leader for our Engineered Building Solutions (EBS) business by championing the quality processes, tools, policies, and documentation systems across the region — ensuring quality is embedded in how work gets done, not just checked at the end.

  • Shape the future of quality by defining, developing, and deploying long‑term strategies that drive best‑in‑class systems and deliver high‑quality products and services for our customers.

  • Lead and mentor site quality managers across multiple locations, serving as a trusted subject‑matter expert and thought partner on quality topics for the region and business unit.

  • Act as a steward of quality standards, aligning regional quality objectives with business segment goals and enterprise quality leadership to ensure consistency and accountability.

  • Drive meaningful transformation by leading the evolution, improvement, and digitization of the nVent Quality Management System (QMS), aligning it with industry best practices and modern quality systems.

  • Champion critical quality systems, including Customer Complaints, Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA), and Change Management, to deliver systemic improvements and measurable gains in quality performance.

  • Own and elevate quality metrics and dashboards, helping define meaningful KPIs, introduce future‑focused metrics, and establish clear operational definitions that enable accurate, consistent reporting across the organization.

YOU HAVE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in quality engineering

  • Leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and apply quality tools and methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles across multiple plants preferred.

  • Willingness to travel domestically, up to 30%, to support sites and drive quality excellence across the region.

  • Strong digital fluency, with experience working in ERP systems, CAPA databases, PLM tools (ENOVIA preferred), New Product Development processes, data and reporting platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Intelex, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint), and root‑cause and corrective action methodologies (8D, PDCA, RCCM, quality tools).

  • A proven track record of leading significant quality initiatives across multiple sites, driving alignment, standardization, and sustainable improvement.

  • Deep expertise in Quality Management Systems, including building, maintaining, and improving QMS documentation and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.

  • Hands‑on experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certifications within a multi‑site, global organization. Lead auditor certification and familiarity with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 are strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis skills, with Six Sigma Black Belt certification or higher preferred.
