Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee Quality and Food Safety operations within the warehouse. This role ensures compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards while managing a team of hourly employees. As the site expert, the Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence in quality and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Management System (QMS):
Implement, manage, and continuously improve the QMS to meet regulatory, customer, and company requirements. Ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness of the system.
Audits & Compliance:
Serve as the site authority for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including BRC, FDA, and other relevant food safety and quality frameworks. Support certification efforts as required.
Leadership & Oversight:
Lead Quality Assurance and Sanitation teams, overseeing daily operations, training, and policy adherence. Ensure effective safety, environmental, pest control, and sanitation programs are in place and maintained.
Customer Collaboration:
Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality teams, addressing quality requirements, investigations, and issue resolution in a timely manner.
Corrective Actions:
Manage the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) program, ensuring root cause analysis, effective resolution of nonconformances, and verification of corrective actions.
Training & Development:
Deliver facility-wide quality, food safety, and compliance training to ensure readiness for audits and customer expectations.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain quality reports, audit documentation, recall records, and regulatory files to support compliance and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements related to quality, food safety, safety initiatives, and operational efficiency.

Preferred QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in quality, food safety, or compliance within contract packaging, warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing (co-pack) environments
Demonstrated experience with hazmat materials, lot control, product recalls, disposals, and quarantine/segregation processes
Strong working knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, PCQI, GFSI standards (including BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000), and AIB requirements
Proven experience supporting and leading internal and external audits and maintaining regulatory compliance
Solid understanding of food packaging operations, including raw materials and display builds
Experience driving safety initiatives and supporting cross-functional safety and compliance programs
Strong proficiency in food safety principles, quality management systems (QMS), and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency using computer-based tools, data analysis, and reporting systems
3PL industry experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in food-grade warehousing environments
Experience working in both Distribution Center (DC) and manufacturing/co-pack operations
Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred: Manhattan strongly preferred; AS400 or Blue Yonder considered
Proficiency or willingness to learn statistical quality control tools, spreadsheets, and quality reporting systems
