Build the Quality Program. Improve the Process. Make an Impact.

Custom Filters Direct is a rapidly growing manufacturer of residential and commercial HVAC air filters. As our operations continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of our manufacturing quality function and help strengthen quality standards across our production floor.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable being on the manufacturing floor, identifying problems in real time, working directly with Production, and developing processes that prevent quality issues from happening again.

The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing quality experience, understands root cause analysis and corrective actions, and knows how to build accountability around quality without slowing down production.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day quality activities throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality standards, inspection procedures, and processes.
  • Spend significant time on the production floor monitoring product quality and manufacturing practices.
  • Identify defects, trends, and recurring quality issues before products reach customers.
  • Lead root cause investigations and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with Production leadership to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Ensure nonconforming products are properly identified, contained, documented, and corrected.
  • Develop clear inspection criteria and quality expectations for production employees and inspectors.
  • Review customer complaints and quality concerns to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, reports, records, and performance metrics.
  • Track quality trends and use data to identify areas requiring corrective action.
  • Train and coach employees on quality standards and expectations.
  • Support and develop Quality Control Inspectors as the quality function grows.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives involving safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure consistent product quality.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer, or senior Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience identifying and resolving manufacturing quality issues.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to investigate problems beyond the immediate defect and determine why the issue occurred.
  • Strong understanding of quality inspection and documentation processes.
  • Ability to communicate quality expectations effectively with employees and leadership.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment where processes continue to evolve.
  • Ability to balance production needs with quality requirements and hold teams accountable to established standards.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills for reporting, documentation, and quality tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Experience with CAPA, 8D, 5 Why, or other structured root cause/problem-solving methods.
  • Experience developing quality procedures, inspection standards, or quality programs.
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or assembly environment.
Schedule

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Additional flexibility may be required based on production needs, quality concerns, or overtime schedules.
