JOB TITLE: QUALITY MANAGER, SG

MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Quality Manager plays an important role in embedding and influencing Quality Culture & Quality Compliance within the Business Unit (& Cluster accountable for), working alongside the Business Unit/Cluster cross-functional and leadership teams as well as Quality teams from other Business Units/Business Groups/Unilever International Clusters. The main responsibility is End-to-End Quality, providing direction and leadership that drives a positive, consumer focused Quality improvement culture. In addition, it supports innovation and transformation teams, manufacturing sites, and suppliers in a truly collaborative quality partnership. The Role shares knowledge and helps with the upskilling across the Business Unit or Cluster and quality teams from other business units (including Market Quality Operations). The Role co-creates processes and ways-of-working for the Business Unit Cluster and takes the lead on initiatives to improve quality in the Business Unit or Cluster. The incumbent is responsible for all the BGs within his/her cluster for Unilever International. The role is based in Singapore. JOB SUMMARY
Support Unilever and Business Unit Quality strategy, Governance and Goals delivery through specific projects and targets.
Partner with the Business Unit/Cluster on initiatives to improve Product Superiority. Pre-emptive Risk Mitigation: proactive, structured engagement in management of change to help with the identification and action plan creation for preventing and/or mitigating potential threats.
Provide quality inputs and recommendations for Business Unit/Cluster decision making forums, following risk-based approach logic (with the possibility of joining some of these forums).
Ensure that Unilever Quality Management System is being followed by Business Unit/ Cluster in his/her area of scope.
Help to define quality required improvements and priorities across Business Unit/Cluster manufacturing / Cluster Manufacturing sites.
Provide support on continuous improvement and/or the co-creation of new quality frameworks, procedures, processes and tools in his/her area of scope.
Support Country and Business Unit/Business Group in managing consumer safety, legal/regulatory or other quality-related incidents.
Work with all relevant functions on the identification and transfer of “Best Practices” and “Lessons Learned” across the organization (within Cluster, BU, BG and region).
Ensure / support that changes linked to product sourcing strategy are managed through Quality processes.
Incumbent is accountable to ensure Quality requirements are followed for the New Product Introductions / Mergers & Acquisitions / Business Transitions / Resilience Projects etc.
Support changes to existing and new manufacturing sites (SU/CM/M&A) through activities that assure quality/hygienic control processes are in place and operating efficiently.
Ensure Governance and Monitoring of Q Processes for the CMs responsible within his/her Cluster.
Is accountable to deploy UI Quality Strategy across the Cluster and provide support, where required to deploy UI Safety Strategy as well while working together with UI Safety Expert.
Ensure all the Quality Complaints across the cluster are dealt in line with the UI Complaints Management process. Work with Customers / CMs / CEC to ensure the Quality Complaints and Queries are managed in a compliant manner. Work with CMs / Customers to drive Quality Improvement projects to avoid re-occurrence of such Complaints.
Also, own and drive Global project(s) across UI in an effort to develop overall connect and also learn the skills & ownership to work with cross cultural team(s) across UI.
Support Quality and Business Unit digitalization strategy, including quality relevant digital tools viz. SalesForce, QualityOne, DVOC/eDVOC etc. Translate business need to functional requirement for the tools, and coordinate rollout & implementation.
Use and analyze quality data to drive insights and improvements. Provide overall quality coaching, upskilling and quality trainings in his/her areas of competence.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Preferably, University degree in general sciences or technical discipline (preferred: Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science or Microbiology degree)
Preferred skills: Cosmetics, OTC, Food Safety
Minimum 3 years FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) business experience in Quality, R&D or Manufacturing
Fluent in English
