The QMS Specialist plays a critical role in supporting certification compliance, product quality excellence, and continuous improvement within the TPU business. This position is responsible for coordinating sustainability and quality certifications, including Bluesign® and ISCC+, driving data-driven quality improvement initiatives, supporting quality management system compliance, and assisting customer quality issue resolution. The role requires strong logical thinking, analytical capability, and structured problem-solving skills to transform quality data into actionable insights, identify and mitigate quality risks, and drive sustainable improvements in product quality, process capability, and customer satisfaction. Through effective cross-functional collaboration, the QMS Specialist will help protect customer business, maintain certification compliance, improve operational performance, and strengthen the overall quality culture and competitiveness of the Jinshan TPU organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Certification Management & Compliance CoordinationBluesign® Certification
- Coordinate Bluesign® certification applications, maintenance, testing programs, annual compliance reviews, and audit preparation activities.
- Monitor BSSL (Bluesign Restricted Substance List) updates and assesses potential impacts on products, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate product testing, compliance assessments, root cause investigations, and corrective actions related to certification requirements.
- Act as the site focal point between QA, Operations, R&D, Sustainability, Commercial, and customers regarding Bluesign® requirements.
- Maintain certification databases, product status tracking, and compliance documentation.
ISCC+ Certification
- Maintain the ISCC+ certification management system and support documentation.
- Coordinate mass balance verification, traceability reviews, and audit readiness activities.
- Support internal and external audits to ensure ongoing certification compliance.
- Track and complete corrective actions arising from certification audits.
Audit Coordination
- Coordinate customer audits, certification audits, and third-party surveillance audits.
- Prepare audit documentation and facilitate audit execution.
- Track audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Support customer sustainability and compliance assessments.
2. Quality Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct systematic analysis of manufacturing performance, product quality trends, customer complaints, laboratory data, process deviations, and inspection results to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain quality dashboards, KPI monitoring systems, and management reports to support fact-based decision making.
- Apply statistical analysis and quality methodologies to identify trends, prioritize issues, and quantify business impact.

- Root Cause Analysis

- Facilitate cross-functional teams to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support quality cost reduction initiatives through defect reduction, process optimization, and waste elimination.
- Present quality trends, findings, and improvement recommendations to site leadership and functional teams.
3. QA System Operation & Maintenance
- Support maintenance and continual improvement of ISO Quality Management Systems.
- Coordinate internal audits, compliance reviews, and follow-up actions.
- Review, update, and optimize quality procedures, specifications, standards, and work instructions.
- Monitor non-conformities and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support document control, change management, and quality compliance activities.
- Promote standardization and best practices within quality organization.
4. Customer Quality Management & Complaint Resolution
- Receive, track, and coordinate customer complaint investigations and product quality concerns.
- Conduct structured investigations including data analysis, process review, root cause identification, and problem validation.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare customer investigation reports, 8D responses, and improvement plans.
- Monitor effectiveness of implemented actions and ensure full closure of customer complaints.
- Support initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and reduce complaint recurrence.
Job Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree or above in:
- Chemistry
- Polymer Materials
- Related chemical majors.
- Quality management system knowledge in TPU, polymer, plastics, and specialty chemicals industries are preferred.
