Job Description:
The Quality Lead is key member of the quality and food safety team. Main responsibilities include reviewing shift conformance ensuring ingredients and products meet all Quality Specifications; the site hold admin and any additional quality systems support as required to ensure compliance to the Mars Quality System Program Standard.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain shift conformance program including the records to ensure all ingredients and products meet quality specifications.
Inform shift (or area) leads of any quality deviations for ingredients or finished product.
Maintain the hold and release program, including retaining all required records and how to troubleshoot or escalate Issues.
Investigate CCIs and holds as needed to collect evidence/data as needed to determine disposition
Help support traceability programs
Support other quality systems as needed to ensure compliance to Mars Standards.
Owns the Quality Document Control program
Help support Q&FS programs at the site
Education & Professional Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of quality experience in a production environment
4-year Bachelor degree preferred
Knowledge / Experience
Knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems.
Minimum of 1 year of quality experience in a production environment.
Attention to detail and good organization skills.
Strong oral, listening, and written communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Able to follow Instructions and strictly follow procedures.
