 What We’re Searching for: 

Hood Container is seeking an dynamic leader and change agent to join our team as a Quality and Inventory Lead for our Allentown, PA plant who will be responsible for conducting internal and external Quality Audits, documenting/reporting nonconformance's, responding to customer inquiries, and leading/directing daily activities of quality auditors within a fulfillment operation. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.


How you will contribute:

1. Manage all inventory transactions, trouble shoot errors and identify root causes and supply possible solutions to Management team.

2. Review all inventory including raw goods, identify errors, and direct /follow up on corrections needed.

3. Support Inventory Department to improve accuracy and efficiency in all plant-wide inventory processes.

4. Accurately generate required month-end reporting promptly.

5. Manage and direct physical inventories as needed.

6. Ensure all inventory is reports to customers as requested.

7. Review and manage aged and obsolete inventory monthly with scheduler and process disposals.

8. Establish quality standards to assist appropriate departments with new product development.

9. Support all departments with quality concerns and provide customer assistance regarding quality issues, job specifications, customer products, and corrective

actions.

10. Initiate policies, procedures, and guidelines related to customer quality, product safety, and product legality.

11. Support Management with all audits.

12. Lead/direct daily activates of shift quality auditors

What it takes:

1. Ability to work with minimal supervision

2. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

3. Excellent mathematical skills, computer literate, and detail-oriented.

4. Background in quality and inventory roles.

5. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

6. Work overtime and odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements

7. Ability to write, audit, and evaluate procedures and quality/inventory systems for compliance standards.

8. HS Diploma/G.E.D.  with ASQ Certified Quality Auditor Desired
