What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Dynamics 365 CRM Test Lead to drive quality assurance for our internal Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution. This role will lead test planning, execution oversight, defect coordination, release readiness, and continuous improvement across Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Insights Journeys. The ideal candidate will partner with product owners, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure releases are reliable, well-tested, and aligned to business outcomes.
Lead overall quality assurance activities for Dynamics 365 CRM releases, with focus on Sales and Customer Insights Journeys.
Translate business requirements and acceptance criteria into a clear testing approach, coverage model, and release validation plan.
Coordinate functional, regression, integration, data validation and deployment readiness testing across the delivery lifecycle.
Own test execution planning, status tracking, defect coordination, retesting, and release quality reporting.
Ensure customer journeys, sales processes, security roles, integrations, automations, and data flows are validated before production release.
Establish and maintain reusable regression coverage for critical CRM workflows and high-risk release scenarios.
Partner with product owners, business analysts, developers, architects, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve quality risks, and support quality-focused delivery.
Lead defect triage, root cause coordination, retesting, and closure tracking through release completion.
Prepare release readiness summaries, test status reports, quality metrics, defect summaries, and risk updates for technical and business stakeholders.
Participate in sprint ceremonies, release planning, retrospectives, and quality reviews to improve delivery practices.
Stay current with Dynamics 365, Customer Insights Journeys, automated testing practices, and quality engineering best practices.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree (or US equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Eight + years of experience in testing with minimum FOUR (4) years of hands-on experience testing Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales and Customer Insights Journeys) solutions.
Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, data validation, exploratory, and user acceptance testing methods.
Experience with test automation tools or frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Azure DevOps Test Plans, or comparable platforms.
Experience using Azure DevOps or comparable lifecycle management tools for test plans, test cases, test suites, defects, traceability, and reporting.
Ability to define test coverage, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, regression packs, and release readiness criteria.
Ability to reproduce issues, isolate defects, validate fixes, and assess regression impact in partnership with development teams.
Experience testing backend, data, integration, automation, and external system scenarios.
Experience supporting full lifecycle Dynamics 365 implementations, managed solutions, release testing, and post-release validation.
Experience working within agile or hybrid SDLC methodologies.
Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and facilitation skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to serve as a lead tester, providing day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and quality direction to other testers across planning, execution, defect management, and release readiness activities.
Ability to lead testing activities, influence quality practices, manage priorities, and communicate risks in a hybrid delivery environment.
What Would Be Nice to Have:
Experience testing integrations and data transformations using Power Platform Dataflows, Azure Data Factory, or comparable integration platforms.
Background with a large consulting firm or Microsoft partner ecosystem.
Experience testing custom Power Platform solutions outside of Dynamics 365.
Experience building, curating, and maintaining Azure DevOps boards, test plans, test suites, defects, and sprint-level quality reporting.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and influence quality practices without direct authority.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people at all levels.
Desire to learn, grow, and seek increased responsibility in quality engineering and test leadership.
Ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple testing priorities, releases, defects, and stakeholder demands.
