Job Description & Responsibilities
- Must be conversant with BIS, UL, IEC and other applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Must have thorough knowledge of cable testing procedures, quality assurance systems, and laboratory practices.
- Ensure compliance with all customer specifications, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
- Interact effectively and professionally with customers, certification agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead and manage a team responsible for testing, inspections, quality assurance, and in-process quality control activities.
- Strong technical expertise in physical and electrical testing of LV, Control & Instrumentation, ABC, UL, MV and HV cables.
- Conduct benchmarking studies and quality comparisons with competitor products to identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor quality performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper utilization of testing equipment and laboratory instruments.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Prepare and present quality reports, analysis, and recommendations to management.
- Drive process improvements to enhance product quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant management systems.
Qualifications
- B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Additional certification in Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent will be preferred.
