Summary:

The Quality Improvement Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the collections and analysis of data to support monitoring and improvement activities across the assigned specialty(s). The coordinator supports functions to provide statistical reports related to clinical service metrics. This role facilitates improvement teams and chair groups and will be expected to work closely with the department leaders of the assigned specialty(s) on clinical and operational quality and utilization management issues. The coordinator is integral in the identification and correction of applicable regulatory and contractual compliance issues.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare.

  • Demonstrated proficiency understanding of CMS regulatory and Joint Commission standards regulatory compliance highly desirable.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Texas.

  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • Must possess and maintain Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS).
