Position Summary

The Quality Imports & Emerging Brands Manager role will support the Sr. Quality Manager in the development and execution of the newly formed Quality Imports & Emerging Brands group which will be responsible for building Constellation’s third-party co-manufacturing capabilities in the United States. This position will also support the import beer function by leading the trusted traceability function which identifies and executes Quality holds within CBI’s beer division distribution network.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Quality Imports & Emerging Brands related programs and issues at CBI’s regional distribution centers. Additionally, works with the Inventory, and Quality Center of Excellence teams to drive compliance with CBI’s quality standards. 

  • Conducts root cause analysis on product damage losses and claims from CBI’s distributor network.

  • Communicate trends to greater corporate quality team in the US and Mexico to facilitate continuous improvement activities that reduces damage and overall cost to CBI and its distributors.

  • Captures all costs associated with repeated trends and any communicates improvements to costs as continuous improvement and/or preventative actions are implemented.

  • Leads any traceability exercises and product holds, maintains primary record to be used as a basis for financial, logistics, and customer replenishment/impact. Partners with IT and other internal groups to streamline and strengthen the track and trace (T&T) protocols and programs to ensure control of non-conforming product within the supply chain placing am premium on time sensitivity.

  • Contribute, utilize, and help improve the Quality Center of Excellence (QCOE) as it is developed to ensure it fits the needs of CBI and its partners now and allows CBI to meet long term Quality Excellence goals. Work with QCOE Team on establishing best practices as the system is developed and utilized in the spirit of continuous improvement.

  • Develops relevant dashboards to support information sharing internally and externally.

  • Maintains and improves ongoing Quality Management of supplier testing and qualification for domestic and import products

  • Completes additional responsibilities and duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ experience in Quality Assurance, transportation, or logistics is required.

  • Requires highly developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with a variety of people at all levels.

  • Must be detail-minded, analytical and deadline-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to work under pressure.

  • Must have a strong team and service orientation and be able to work well with all levels of internal and external business associates.

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills and the ability to be proactive are essential.

  • Must be capable of reading, understanding, and applying different legal decisions, contracts, tariff rules, statutes and government regulations.

  • Must be proficient working with and utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite to design reports and maintain claims files. Must have ability to develop proficiency in manipulating additional computer software (SAP) for data extraction and analysis. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of Three years management experience is preferred. Ideally the candidate has a track record in people management with the ability to build a team and help individuals develop.

  • Quality Assurance experience within the CPG industry is highly preferred.

  • Continuous Improvement background or certification is highly preferred with certification in Six Sigma Green belt or higher.

  • Quality background with exposure to packaging is preferred.

  • Experience working with railroad operations/loss prevention is preferred.

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

The salary range for this role is:

$92,500.00 - $141,700.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
