Quality Head – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Role Purpose
We are seeking a strategic Quality Head to lead the Quality
Assurance and Quality Control functions at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
The role will ensure robust quality systems, inspection readiness and
compliance with GMP, GDP and applicable local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead
and manage site-wide QA and QC operations, including team performance,
capability development and succession planning.
- Own
and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including
deviations, CAPA, change control, complaints, recalls and investigations.
- Ensure
compliance with cGMP, GDP, data integrity and applicable regulatory
requirements.
- Lead
regulatory authority interactions, inspections, audit responses and
follow-up actions.
- Oversee
batch review, certification and product release activities; QP
responsibilities where applicable.
- Manage
validation, qualification, PQR, Site Master File and Validation Master
Plan activities.
- Oversee
supplier qualification, quality agreements, audits and quality-risk
management.
- Establish
quality KPIs and drive improvements in batch-release timelines, audit
outcomes, CAPA effectiveness and deviation reduction.
- Partner
with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Regulatory Affairs to
maintain compliant, efficient operations.
- Support
quality-related CAPEX, budget and strategic improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Minimum
10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical Quality
Assurance/Quality Control.
- Proven
leadership experience managing QA and QC teams in a pharmaceutical
manufacturing site.
- Strong
knowledge of GMP, GDP, QMS, validation, audit management and regulatory
inspections.
- Qualified
Person experience is highly preferred.
- UAE/GCC
pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Excellent
leadership, stakeholder-management and English communication skills.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance or Quality Control
- Leadership experience managing QA and QC teams at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, Quality Management Systems, validation, audit management, and regulatory inspections
- Qualified Person experience
- UAE or GCC pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder-management, and English communication skills
