What You'll Do:
- Ensure the assembly documentation is accurate and complete.
- Observe assembly, lay-up, and torque operations.
- Conduct dimensional inspections on both parts and assemblies.
- Examine raw materials, piece-parts, and final assemblies.
- Produce First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102.
- Interpret specifications, drawings, tolerances, and additional requirements.
- Document inspection and test results through logs, graphs, reports, and local systems.
- Uphold maintenance of test and measurement equipment as well as calibration systems.
- Assess customer returns and implement necessary internal corrective actions.
- Execute other tasks related to the position as directed by leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification from a recognized quality institution like ASQ (American Society for Quality) is advantageous.
- Certification in AS9100 or similar quality management standards in aerospace is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Inspector role within aerospace manufacturing or a related industry.
- Experience in First Article Inspection (FAI) and familiarity with AS9102 standards.
- Practical experience with various inspection techniques and equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
