Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for Quality Engineer (2 or 3) in West Jordan, Utah.
The candidate might need to travel between Salt Lake City and West Jordan locations.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Quality Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation
  • Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
  • Analyzes capability assessments to support production activity
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product processes and designs
  • Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing readiness
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 3+ years of experience developing/managing metrics and root cause corrective actions (RCCA)
  • 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 3 - 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality or experience in a regulated industry
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools)
  • Experience with 3D modeling software to determine product and GD&T requirements
  • Systematic problem solving with root cause and corrective action experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Level 2): $83,300 - $112,700
Summary pay range (Level 3): $100,300 - $135,700
