We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist to support product conformance, quality documentation, audits, supplier quality, and corrective action activities within our fabrication operations. This role works with production teams, DBC locations, vendors, and customers to help ensure products meet drawings, specifications, customer requirements, warranty expectations, and established quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Support receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities to verify product and material conformance before release or shipment.

· Support control of nonconforming materials and products, including containment, documentation, disposition follow-up, release verification, and escalation as needed.

· Coordinate the corrective action program, including nonconformance tracking, root cause analysis support, action owner follow-up, effectiveness checks, and closure documentation.

· Support internal audits, document control, calibration records, quality procedures, forms, and other QMS activities needed to maintain consistent quality practices across locations.

· Gather, review, and report quality data such as defects, inspection results, audit findings, rework, supplier issues, and corrective action status.

· Identify quality trends, recurring issues, and root causes; recommend practical controls or documentation updates to help prevent repeat issues.

· Coordinate with suppliers, testing vendors, and auditing vendors to support raw material quality, calibration requirements, and required quality records.

· Train and support staff in standard quality control procedures and communicate quality expectations clearly.

· Visit customers and job sites as needed to understand product quality concerns, warranty feedback, packaging issues, and field installation impacts.

Required Skills and Abilities

· Working understanding of quality control, quality assurance, inspection documentation, and product conformance practices.

· Ability to review quality data, identify trends, support root cause analysis, and help drive corrective actions to closure.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain quality expectations to production teams and other stakeholders.

· Capable of working independently and collaboratively while managing tasks, follow-up items, and documentation details.

Education and Experience

· Associate degree, technical certification, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in quality assurance, inspection, manufacturing, construction, prefabrication, or a related field.

· Experience in quality control, inspection, supplier quality, documentation control, audits, corrective actions, or cross-functional quality follow-up preferred.

· Quality, inspection, welding, construction, manufacturing, Lean, audit, or related certifications are a plus.

· Comfort using business software and basic reporting tools; experience with quality, inspection, documentation, ERP, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, or Autodesk tools is beneficial.

· Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem-solving, or risk management principles is beneficial but not required.
