The role is an integral part of the quality team and will help drive strong quality systems with high effectiveness. The Engineer I will work closely with the customers to resolve customer issues which help save money.You will have the opportunity to:
- Identify and collaborate on customer issues. Ability to utilize root cause analysis tools to identify possible causes of issues and bring forth ideas to resolve.
- Support quality standard (ISO9001, AS9100D, ISO17025, etc.) through participation in the quality system such as documentation, internal and external audits, calibration, etc.
- Collaborate with peers to ensure everyone is on the same page.
- Participate in teams and projects throughout the site(s) which drive improvement in efficiency, yield, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or technical field or equivalent relevant experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a metals or materials production environment is preferred
- General knowledge of systematic quality management systems is required
- ETQ experience is required
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time is required
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite
- Effective communicator for groups of customers and employees
- Ability to train
- Solution oriented
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Language: English
- Preferred: Ability to travel (10% or less)
