Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer.
The work model for the role is onsite in Vega Baja, PR.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in Vega Baja, PR.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Support the definition and implementation of actions to improve safety, operating efficiency, quality, and productivity in the value chain, to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment within the local business.
Promotes and supports the deployment of the local Quality and Operational Excellence (Q&OpEx) strategy to accelerate the rate of operational improvement, with resulting cost savings within the operation.
Establishes and implements Q&OpEx priorities and targets in cooperation with functional team members across all functions within the local operation, monitors progress and supports actions on deviations from targets.
Trains and coaches local teams in the standard quality improvement approach (i.e. DMAIC) to develop organization capability to continuously improve business practices and performance.
Assists with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction.
Conducts benchmarking and best practice spreading within the operations to embed a culture of excellence in operational performance.
Assists with the creation and implementation of, and ensures conformance with, instructions, guidelines, and procedures to drive standardization and consistent execution in delivery of customer requirements.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
2+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality areas
(Molding or Stamping operations preferable)You are highly skilled in implementing problem solving and analytical techniques (FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma methodologies)
You have experience working or leading Quality audits and are familiar with ISO9001:2015 standards.
You have the ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions and resolve conflicts to achieve win-win results
You are at ease communicating and writing in Spanish and English
