You will establish, maintain, and enhance the quality assurance system with a focus on reducing nonconformities and external defects, continuous improvement, reducing waste associated with scrap and warranty, reducing lead time for customer complaint resolution, and improving overall customer satisfaction.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Complete tasks associated with customer PPAP requirements.
Improve inspection controls to achieve favorable defect rate trends.
Implement corrective actions for customer complaints/issues.
Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Monitor and report quality metric trends and champion actions to continually improve.
Look after document control process/database for standard work and work instructions.
Create work instructions for key critical quality processes (i.e. nonconformance management, Product testing).
Assist with handling internal and outsourced gage calibration.
Conduct statistical data analysis on key process variables to control and stabilize.
Standardize and continually improve functional testing process and manage data retention.
Digitize and control key critical measures (i.e. audits, hourly inspection, material Rockwell, coating thickness).
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree required.
Ideally 2+ years of relevant quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Ability to use AutoCAD and SolidWorks (preferred but not required).
Strong problem solving abilities.
Ability to perform productive brainstorming sessions applying Lean concepts with multi-departmental teams.
General understanding of inspection instruments (calipers, micrometers, and thread gages).
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
Basic understanding of statistical process control.
