Responsibilities
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a high-volume manufacturing environment, automotive industry experience is mandatory
Proven, hands-on experience in root cause analysis (8D methodology is a must) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 core tools, especially Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, and SPC
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with production operators, management, and external customers
A data-driven and results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary quality liaison to the production assembly line, providing real-time support and expertise.
- Develop, implement, and audit Control Plans, Standardized Work Instructions, and visual aids for the assembly process.
- Lead the implementation and analysis of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor process stability and capability.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA) to ensure strict adherence to defined processes on the shop floor.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for inspection and testing equipment to ensure data integrity.
- Act as the lead technical interface for customer quality issues, managing communication and ensuring timely updates.
- Lead and document robust root cause analysis and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for both internal and external quality failures using disciplined methods (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram).
- Prepare and submit timely 8D reports or other customer-required documentation, ensuring they are thorough and professional.
