Job Responsibilities:
Quality Engineer wanted in Shepherdsville, Kentucky to be responsible for implements immediate containment and corrective actions to quickly resolve supplier quality spills and ensure that no supplier problem impacts the production line. Utilize supplier Scorecards/metrics and analytical tools to quantify performance levels of individual suppliers and work with those suppliers to develop. Follow-up on supplier issues through the supplier control portal by opening formal complaints and following up on the corresponding containment actions and ensuring that corrective actions implemented are robust and adequate and are implemented in a timely manner until closure. Carrying out chargebacks to suppliers according to the supplier's manual and working together with finance to recover costs within established time. Follow up on suppliers' performance. PPAP approval responsible. Supplier quality audits to ensure corrective actions and quality process are implemented and are effective. Work with the quality of supplier parts for new projects through all phases of launch ensuring the quality of prototype parts and components. 8D and problem-solving specialist. Weekly CP audit to ensure that the established controls are updated in the production line and according to the SCCAF. Responsible for monitoring and disposing of the non-conforming product of each of the assigned suppliers. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Industrial Engineering and 24 months of related experience as a Quality Engineer. The related experience must include using knowledge of automotive seat sewing process; ensuring trim covers meet customer requirements; tracking sewing defects using Layer Paynter for corrective actions; validating sewing repairs; validating engineering changes affecting seat covers. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; M-F, $86,993.80 per year.
