Job Description:

Quality Engineer - Responsible for ensuring that products or services meet specific standards or quality before they reach the customer.  Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality specifications are met during the manufacturing process.  Lead root cause and corrective action investigations of quality related incidents.

Responsibilities

•    Develop and implement quality standards and procedures
•    Perform or oversee inspections and tests on products, components, or systems to verify compliance with specifications
•    Investigate product or process issues and perform root cause analysis.  Implement (CAPA)
•    Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, testing, and processes.  Prepare quality reports and manuals
•    Use tools like Six Sigma, Lean, or statistical process control (SPC) to optimize workflows.
•    Ensure that products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.  Prepare for and participate in Audits (e.g. FDA, EPA or other regulatory audits).
•    Educate team members about quality standards and practices.
•    Work with Suppliers to improve the quality of incoming materials or components.
 

Requirements
•    Bachelors of Chemical Engineering, (BA,BS) or equivalent 
•    2-3 years’ experience in Chemical Manufacturing 
•    Experience with computers and spreadsheets
•    Ability to interact well with supervisor and associates
•    Strong verbal/written communication and mathematic skills.
•    Experience with Minitab, SPC, ISO, FDA regulations, GMP, FMEA, RCA Preferred
