Job Description
The QHSSE Advisor is responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the areas of Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE). This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining QHSSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the quality and Health and Safety system throughout the organization in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025:2017 and ISO 45001 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)
- Periodically conducting internal audit (Process and Technical) to assess the status of deployment of system to formulate corrective and preventive action for any non-conforming aspects, and to conduct follow-ups assessments on the resolution of these non-conformities.
- To ensure the Laboratory’s equipment calibration are kept up date and regular maintenance is performed on schedule. To withdraw any items of equipment out of calibration or found to be defective.
- To perform regular internal audits of laboratory procedures including tests, internal calibration and all other aspects of the quality system as and when required.
- Prepare the list of approved supplier/sub-contractor after conducting supplier/sub-contractor evaluation.
- Conducting internal quality control program for various laboratory tests as well as participating the laboratory in various external proficiency testing program.
- Co-ordinating with the External agency for the laboratory accreditation, Quality Management system certification and external calibrations
- Ensure that Fugro policies and procedures are understood, implemented and adhered to by all employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in QHSSE roles, preferably in [specific industry].
- Strong knowledge of QHSSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are a plus.
