ABOUT THIS ROLE 

As a Quality Engineer at LVT, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our production processes. You will analyze production lines and collaborate with all teams involved in the production process to identify and resolve failures. Your focus will be on determining root causes, collecting/analyzing failure data, and working closely with Manufacturing Engineering to improve overall process quality.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining systems to collect production data and use this information to drive business decisions. Your ability to communicate findings and create consumable technical documentation will be critical to your success, requiring a blend of analytical thinking, collaboration, and technical proficiency.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze production lines, identifying causes of failure and broken processes.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and other teams that feed into the production process.
  • Conduct failure mode analysis and root cause analysis to drive process improvements.
  • Work with various departments within the manufacturing facility to resolve corrective action reports (CARs).
  • Establish systems to collect and track failure data, enabling data-driven business decisions for production improvements.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to address and resolve failures, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Provide data analysis and reports to key stakeholders, including Quality Management, Engineering, and Production teams.
  • Strong technical writing ability for developing clear, consumable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel for data tracking and analysis.
  • Willingness to learn and transition into data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Strong analytical mindset and a continuous learning approach.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate across departments.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred for expertise in failure mode analysis).
  • Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on failure tracking, root cause analysis, and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and process improvement techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and standards, including ISO 9001.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving prowess and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail, adept at managing multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines.
