Quality Engineer

About the Role:
As we accelerate our growth journey in Asia, Brooks is seeking a Quality Engineer to join us in Singapore.
Reporting to the Director, Quality Engineering based in the US, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing quality plans, metrics, programs, and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and analyses. You will be responsible for ensuring that the performance and product quality of Brooks Manufacturing and Contract Manufacturers conforms to established company, customer and regulatory requirements.
You will review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to the assembly and process while leading investigation of problems and developing dispositions, modifications, and corrective actions for recurring or non-recurring discrepancies. You will also act as the key interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure all quality requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the quality lead and interface for products built at Brooks and at Contract Manufacturers. Leads the development, modification, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control plans and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.

Manage assigned product failure analysis, report generation, and present to customer.

Lead problem solving teams utilizing 8D methodology.

Lead cross-functional team Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities to drive performance improvements.

Assist in the process for ensuring that corrective actions (CAPA) are completed in accordance with relevant ISO requirements (ISO 9001), Advance Problem-Solving methods, and that documentation is complete and compliant with requirements.

Conduct Data Analysis and prepare metrics detailing field product quality.

Manage quality data for accuracy and report generation.

Identify, and analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Lead quality meetings with contract manufacturers and factory work cells.

Support factory process certification activities for New Product Introductions (NPI) process.

Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

May specialize in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, research and development of our products at our contract manufactures.

Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a Quality Engineering role.

Hands-on experience working on Electronic or Electromechanical equipment.

Experience using statistical methods and tools such as Gauge R&R, Statistical Process Control, Capability analyses, data mining etc.

Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of the Semiconductor manufacturing industry related to Capital Equipment would be highly advantageous; prior Copy Exact experience would be a plus.

Certification in Six Sigma, Project Management, or Lean preferred

Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
