Job Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company's policies, procedures, and standards involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products and customer satisfaction. The Quality Assurance Engineer strives to ensure facility adhere to quality licenses, standards and certifications.
A successful candidate will collaborate closely with functional areas such Production, Procurement, Mfg. Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Product Lines and Geozones on a regular basis as well as present to internal teams plans and updates.
Roles & Responsibilities

SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
- Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company’s Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices and complies with the Company’s Rules to Live By
- Places Quality, Health & Safety, Security and protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers or the communities in which we live and work at risk
- Seeks continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & protection of the Environment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge and technology and best business practices to exceed customer expectations
- Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises
QUALITY
- Responsible for being familar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherfords Management System
- Responsible for being up-to-date on changes impacting QMS, and licenses/certifications such addemdum, errata, new editions, others.
- Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
OPERATIONS
- Ensure that customer expectations (internal and external) are being met.
- Responsible for supervising internal and coordinating external audits of our facilities, processes, and personnel competency.
- Maintain site Quality Management System
- Perform regular audits in machine shop, assembly test and other production/functional areas, technical work instructions, processes, procedures and ensure compliance.
- Planning of critical jobs in conjunction with the client, production teams, and applications engineers where required.
- Develop QCP Plans to meet Customer contract requirements. Ensure compliance with Company and Customers QCPs.
- Actively participate in Contract Reviews.
- Coordinate Client visits and constant communication to demonstrate our commitment and promote the Weatherford OEP process. Addressing Client issues / complaints.
- Ensure that all job data, failure reports, CPAR, OFI etc. are prepared, reviewed and approved in WPTS and reported to management on a monthly basis.
- Monitor NCR and CPAR data for negative trends and provide support for the implementation of corrective actions that mitigate recurring nonconformances. Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure that the required improvements are sustained.
- Oversee Document Control Activities
- Active involvement when planning asset and personnel requirements to ensure consistent Manufacturing Quality will be met.
- Monitor machine shop, assembly test and other production/functional staff - ensure quality standards and processes are being met and ensure all WPTS entries are being complete and approved. Responsible for management of change as process and procedures are updated as per QMS requirements.
- Supervise problem job investigations and maintain performance improvement plans to prevent re-occurrence and close out with clients to their satisfaction.
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
- Review work orders and ensure work instructions are followed and provide positive and negative feedback to ensure continual performance improvement.
- Follow up on open action items generated through the Customer Order Review Process.
- Continually improvement of systems and processes and relay to management team.
- Monitor equipment and personnel load outs to ensure all certification is correct and all equipment is fit for purpose.
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
- Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
FINANCIAL
- All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
- Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
- Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience
- Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential

Qualifications
Essential:
- 7 years of experience with API Q-1 / ISO-9001 or equivalent (AS-9100, etc.)
- Computer literate and working knowledge of Office Products
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop a positive team working environment and communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Extensive experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Well organized, self -motivated, able to exercise independent judgment, and demonstrate good problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Possess strong customer service skills, i.e. listening, follow-through, and willingness to help
