Arctic Cat is seeking a Quality Engineer who will champion quality across suppliers, manufacturing, and customer-facing operations, in our St Cloud, MN location.  This role drives continuous improvement by leading audits, resolving quality issues, monitoring key performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions that enhance product reliability and reduce defects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who advocates for quality, influences cross-functional teams, and ensures high standards are consistently met.

Arctic Cat is a leader in the powersports industry. Arctic Cat markets its Snowmobile, ATV and SXS products through a network of independent dealers located throughout the United States and Canada and through distributors representing dealers in Europe, South America, the Middle East, Asia and other international markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for inspection processes and materials.
  • Conduct field audits and vendor evaluations and investigate manufacturing or field issues as needed.
  • Maintain implemented standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Maintain quality assurance objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize defects, field failures, scrap, and rework.
  • Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s including parts per million (PPM), line disruptions and days to close non-conforming material tickets (NCMT).
  • Facilitate the deployment of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues as well as customer complaints through the coordination of cross-functional teams.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Seek and recommend ways to improve product and process capability based on company metrics.
  • Provide technical support and information to other departments, vendors and customers as requested based on data collected from company metrics, vendor metrics and inspection data.
  • Be a resource to a small team of Quality Inspectors for assigned area to ensure processes are followed and production is supported, as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required, 10 or more years of technical experience in lieu of degree
  • Years of Experience: 0-2 years with degree, 10 or more years of relevant, technical experience without degree  
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Applications, CAD, ERP/MRP preferred
  • Able to read part/assembly blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 0–2 years of experience with a bachelor's degree
  • 10 or more years of relevant technical experience may substitute for the degree
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • CAD
  • ERP/MRP software
  • Ability to read part and assembly blueprints
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
