Quality Engineer Jobs in Andover at Stannah - Join Our Team!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join Stannah based in Andover.

This role will involve owning and assuring the quality of Home Accessibility products, ensuring that new and existing products meet agreed product specifications, customer expectations, regulatory obligations and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. You will play a key role in driving product quality improvements, supporting compliance activities, and reducing customer risk through effective quality management practices.

As the Quality Engineer, you will work 8:00am to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 1:00pm Friday. This is a permanent position.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced quality professional who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and working collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, technical and service teams to deliver high-quality products.

To be successful as the Quality Engineer, it is essential that you have previous experience in a quality, auditing or engineering role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in Six Sigma methodologies, or continuous improvement initiatives would be desirable.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Own quality assurance activities for Stairlift products, including verification, inspection, testing and compliance checks in line with QMS requirements.
  • Lead investigations into product quality issues, customer complaints and reliability concerns, identifying root causes and driving effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring robust quality controls, clear acceptance criteria and appropriate quality sign-off processes.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Technical and Service Support teams to translate customer and field feedback into product quality improvements.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, strengthen compliance and reduce the cost of poor quality.

Qualifications

Quality Engineer Requirements:

  • Quality and/or engineering qualification, or equivalent technical experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5Y, SPC, APQP, PPAP and FMEA.
  • Experience analysing data, interpreting technical drawings and presenting findings through reports and presentations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions and make evidence-based recommendations.
