Our RF microwave and antenna solutions support Electronic Warfare (EW), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Radar, Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), Telemetry, Tracking, Command & Datalink, and Communications helping customers achieve reliability, resilience, and high performance in the harshest operating environments.

TRAK TECOM is seeking a Quality Engineer is responsible for product quality on assigned programs to ensure that customer contract requirements are fulfilled.  

  

Responsibilities: 

· Review of customer contracts, Statements of Work, Purchase Order Quality Clauses, drawings and specifications

· Review and approval of quality requirements for Manufacturing Planning and Supplier Purchase Orders

· Point of contact for assigned customer’s audits, quality inquiries, and SCAR’s

· Participate in QMS process management

· Perform investigations and create reports for RMAs (customer returned parts)

· Drive process and product improvement, working with Engineering and Operations

· Analyze COPQ data (rework, scrap, warranty) to identify opportunities for improvement 

· Perform defect data (internal and external) trend analysis to drive continuous improvement.

· Meet established quality objectives and metrics

· Perform Internal Audits

· Review and create First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 as required

· Drive Root Cause & Corrective Action of failures and defects

· Comply with and ensure department compliance with all Company policies and procedures

· Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Experience with use of technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and configuration control of documents
  • Experienced with Configuration Control Board (CCB), review of ECOs, drawings, source control specifications, test plans & reports
  • Good working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience creating, updating, reviewing, and releasing Quality Management Systems documents that meet ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100
  • Experience with investigation of non-conformances and continuous improvement techniques, e.g., RCCA, 8D, 5-Why, PFMEA
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP and associated documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram, capability studies) preferred
  • Experienced in First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation IAW AS9102
  • Experience with a diverse set of manufacturing and assembly processes, e.g. PCB manufacturing, motors and encoders, conformal coating, IPC soldering, plating, painting, electro-mechanical assembly, test and inspection, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes preferred
  • Familiar with typical ERP business system software
  • Proficient in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and other CRM tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, be a self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment

Experience: Minimum 3 (three) to 5 (five) plus years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 quality systems a plus.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; or equivalency experience. 

Security: U.S. citizenship required. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a government security clearance.
