The Successful candidate will:
- Work daily with Manufacturing and Engineering to identify and resolve issues adversely impacting product quality.
- Interact with all areas of the organization to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods. Use technical knowledge to implement efficient, cost-effective manufacturing improvements.
- Ensure internal and external product and process quality standards are met by designing testing methods, establishing standards and confirming that engineering specifications are maintained.
- Conduct internal inspections and audits. Oversee third-party inspections and audits.
Essential Job Functions
1. Work daily with Manufacturing Management to identify and resolve issues adversely impacting product quality.
2. Interact with all areas of the organization to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods. Use technical knowledge to implement efficient, cost-effective manufacturing improvements.
3. Learn and ensure compliance with regulations required to maintain membership in the Vehicle Inspection Program; serve as Company Leader during annual VIP Audits.
4. Ensure internal and external product and process quality standards are met by designing testing methods, establishing standards, and confirming that engineering specifications are maintained.
5. Serve as co-leader with the Process Improvement Manager to create an effective manufacturing audit program.
6. Conduct training sessions at the factory, service centers, and in the field, as required.
7. Identify and communicate product improvement ideas to other internal departments.
8. One year of experience in CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) process: root cause analysis, corrective action implementation support, verification of effectiveness.
9. Work with other areas as testing is being conducted on complete units and components under operational conditions to identify additional training and improvement opportunities.
10. Assist in developing functional quality tests for newly designed parts and products.
11. Research new technology, testing, and provide implementation support, as needed.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Minimum of two years of experience working in a manufacturing-related quality role.
2. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to obtain a CDL within six months.
