What We're Looking For:

Implements and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods. Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of components and finished products.
Demonstrates practical knowledge of products / components within assigned area to anticipate and prepare for possible non-conformances. Demonstrates knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, as applicable.

Chihuahua - based role- onsite presence required to support manufacturing activitites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Takes initiative to gather data to investigate potential non-conformances. Collects data and uses data collected by others.
• With minimal day to day instructions, conducts activities to support quality execution against key performance metrics. Responsible for regular monitoring / reviewing of business and operational processes to evaluate for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Acts as advisor to less-senior technicians and/or engineers / suppliers in vetting non-conformances.
• Completes audit training, as required.
• Understands key quality metrics and current performance levels. Uses technology to visually present data and analyses in meaningful ways.
• Leverages tools to simplify complex data or information to improve comprehension. Takes the initiative to create new adhoc reports to meaningfully represent business outcomes and drive decisions. May or may not recommend new standard reports based on data trends. Routinely summarizes information on defect data, process improvement data and analyses and recommendations to management. Participates in training technician and / or engineers within functional area by developing and deploying curricula and / or mentoring.
• May represent the unit on project teams. May perform in project leadership role on projects of limited scope and impact.
• Assists in building accurate schedules.
• Resolves a wide range of issues in innovative as well as practical ways
• Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
• Interacts with management and external stakeholders on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Job Requirements

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
• Preferred Work Experience: 5+ years

Key Skills and Competencies

• Education and training in quality disciplines is required.
• Problem solving and analytical ability
• Full knowledge of job related policies and procedures as well as corporate policies and procedures.
• Six Sigma training or similar certification / training preferred.
• Strong computer skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
