Job Description

What You'll Do:
- Own the overall quality management of a V-BAT aircraft module, overseeing New Product Introduction (NPI), Supplier Quality, and Product Quality processes.
- Serve as the systems expert for Shield AI’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring effective execution through mastery of processes, documentation, and data management. Drive continuous improvement by defining, updating, and streamlining essential quality documentation and activities.
- Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams to support the design development process. Provide expertise in quality assurance, process optimization, risk assessment and management, and strategies for verification, validation, and capability qualification. Identify and integrate industry standards to ensure the successful delivery of the V-BAT aircraft.
- Develop and evaluate inspection and testing methods, tools, and equipment to uphold product integrity. Conduct assessments to determine accountability and cost implications for products, materials, or processes that deviate from established standards and specifications.
- Review and refine quality systems to identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and ensure consistent adherence to reliable standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- Manage non-conformance processes, including providing material review dispositions.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify underlying issues, implement effective corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in a field of STEM (B.S. level or equivalent).
- 3-5+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
- 3-5+ years of developing PFMEA, Control Plans and/or Inspection Plans
- 3-5+ years of experience in supporting and working with Quality Management System (QMS).
- 3-5+ years of experience in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical: IPC-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies), IPC-620 (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies)
- Industrial Experience: Aerospace sector, Defense sector, Automotive sector
- Techniques & Methodologies: Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen (Continuous Improvement), Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gage R&R).
- Regulatory & Standards: Experience in a regulated environment such as AS9100 and ISO9001
- Miscellaneous: Supplier Quality Management and Assurance, Process improvements and Experience or interest in model aviation or unmanned crafts.

Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.
