The Senior Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and improvement of Graco’s quality systems in conformance with ISO 9001 standards and helping to enhance compliance with statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements. The individual in this position will play a key role in facilitating internal and external audits, driving corrective action based on customer complaints, maintain and improve documented procedures and training to support the Quality Management System (QMS). Additionally, this position will drive continuous improvement and support a culture of quality through the company-wide systems and initiatives.
What You Will Do at Graco:
Quality Enablement:
- Assist in the maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 certification for multiple facilities
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, including those from Graco QMS, registrars and customers.
- Respond to any non-conformities or improvement opportunities from audit management, manage internal CAR closure, and manage Action items from Management Review meetings.
- Write, maintain and improve QMS documentation to align with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Create tools and procedures related to new and/or improved QMS processes.
- Provide guidance and training on ISO 9001:2015 on QMS topics such as standards conformance, new tools/processes, quality awareness, and corrective & preventative action.
QMS System:
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the corporate QMS system and processes. Identify and improve the quality and efficiency of the QMS processes.
- Assist in improving and updating QMS workflows such as CARs, Stock Check / Ship Hold, New Product Development, etc.
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure that the Quality System remains in compliance with all applicable laws and standards, and that the system is as efficient and effective as required by applicable laws, standards, and regulations.
Continuous Improvement & Initiative Management
- Participate, and if necessary, organize and lead problem solving, data collection, process mapping, quality improvement activities and improved corrective action effectiveness
- Lead Quality System-related project activity as required; support communication of project goals, timelines, and updates across departments
- Drive regional and local quality initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams
Required 5% travel.
What You Will Bring to Graco
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer and Quality Management System experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills with strong organizational abilities
- Excellent technical/statistical aptitude
- Critical thinking, problem solving, data analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, D365)
Accelerators
- Global industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge
- 2+ years at organization certified to ISO 9001:2015
- ISO certified auditor
- Knowledge or experience with Six Sigma
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) by ASQ or SAE
- MBA or Master’s degree

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
