Job Description
Summary:
The Quality Engineer joins the Measurement & Analysis Group (MAG) and assists in the processes and operating mechanisms for measurement and monitoring of product and process quality, investigation of quality issues, and coordination of improvement initiatives. This role uses their expertise in data analysis and investigation methods to identify emerging trends, analyze them for underlying causes, and measure the effectiveness of design and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regularly measures and prepares reports for a wide array of product performance and customer satisfaction KPIs

Measures and monitors the reliability of product hardware and software

Develops and maintains product performance dashboards using inputs from cross-functional stakeholders

Uses statistical techniques to analyze observed trends, estimate effectiveness of proposed solutions, and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions

Uses root cause analysis and quality principles to investigate identified issues

Assists cross-functionally in developing new metrics in customer satisfaction, product performance, and process performance

Develops and maintains key data infrastructure and leads cross-functional efforts to improve data integrity
Qualifications:
a. Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, data analytics, or related field of study
-
1-5 years of relevant experience

Strong statistics knowledge and data analysis skills
-
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and aptitude for new software
-
Experience using structured problem-solving techniques
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and commitment to high standards of excellence and integrity
-
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
b. Preferred or Desired:
-
Experience with ISO 13485-certified quality management systems in medical device companies

Experience in developing operational dashboards and familiarity with database tools and Power BI, Minitab Connect, or comparable visualization tools

Experience with statistical and reliability analysis tools, e.g. Minitab Statistics, ReliaSoft Weibull++

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The range for this position is $67,500 – $123,500. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process
