Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Delivers medium-high complexity testing tasks as part of a team. Influences in collaborative meetings with peers and stakeholders. Interacts with stakeholders to create requirements and demonstrate work. Documents testing and outcomes. Follows established software product engineering practices related to testing. Scope: Enterprise. • Works under moderate supervision with access to assistance for work assignments not covered through established guidelines. • Acquires solid knowledge and develops specialized skills. • Establishes individual priorities when supporting projects and/or processes. • Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice. Test Planning and Strategy: • Developing and implementing test plans, cases, and scripts based on software requirements and specifications. • Defining the scope and objectives of testing, including the identification of test resources and tools. Manual and Automated Testing: • Performing manual testing to identify defects and ensure software functionality. • Developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG. Defect Management: • Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using defect tracking tools like Gitlab or ALM. • Collaborating with developers to reproduce issues, provide detailed defect reports, and verify fixes. Performance and Load Testing: • Conducting performance, load, and stress testing to ensure software scalability and reliability. • Analyzing performance test results and identifying bottlenecks or performance issues. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): • Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and rapid feedback. • Monitoring and maintaining the CI/CD environment to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. Quality Metrics and Reporting: • Collecting and analyzing quality metrics to assess software quality and testing effectiveness. • Prepare and present test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders and management. Test Environment Management: • Setting up and maintaining test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations. • Ensuring test environments are representative of production environments. Compliance and Standards: • Ensuring software testing processes comply with industry standards and best practices. • Keeping up to date with changes in software testing methodologies and tools. Collaboration and Communication: • Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback. • Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Risk Management: • Identifying and assessing potential risks to software quality and implementing mitigation strategies. • Conducting risk-based testing to prioritize testing efforts based on risk levels. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): • Coordinating and supporting user acceptance testing with end-users to ensure the software meets their needs and expectations. • Gathering and addressing feedback from UAT participants. Documentation and Training: • Creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, cases, and scripts. • Providing training and support to team members on testing tools, processes, and best practices. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Quantitative or Engineering Field. Experience: 1+ years relevant or practical experience. Special Skills: • Testing Concepts (multiple tools/methodologies) • Integrates automated testing with Version Control, DevOps & CICD • Technical Writing and Diagramming • Analysis (Technical, Business, or Data) Soft Skills: • Communication: Influencing collaborative meetings and interacting with stakeholders. • Problem-solving: Resolving complex quality issues and implementing solutions. • Leadership: Mentoring junior quality engineers. • Time Management: Managing multiple testing tasks and meeting deadlines. • Analytical Thinking: Analyzing advanced quality metrics and performance test results.
