Daikin Applied is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of industrial processes, materials, and products. The position will be responsible for conducting quality reviews, detecting defects, planning quality improvements, and training on quality topics. Location: Staunton, VA - In-Office
Your Responsibilities:
- Review design documentation for compliance with UL and ISO9001 requirements
- Investigate customer/warranty quality concerns
- Document data obtained during quality assurance reviews and use quality assurance tools such as statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes
- Assist in performing process capability studies
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production teams to solve quality non-conformities
- Present significant concerns or developments identified during quality assurance activities
- Gather, analyze, and present technical information to team members and management utilizing Pareto Analysis, Frequency Distribution, and 5 WHY techniques
- Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality standards, including current ISO requirements
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of experience
- American Society for Quality Certification (preferred)
- Quality Control Engineer Auditor (preferred)

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,000 to $100,500 in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
