Career Opportunity- Quality Engineer- Electronics Manufacturing

Reporting to: Manager of Quality and Compliance

Work Location- Works on-site at the Williamsport, PA location.

Citizenship Requirement- MUST be US Citizen or Permament Resident. We can not sponsor Visas.

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining product and process integrity within an EMS facility that serves government-contracted aerospace, military, and defense customers. This role ensures that all SMT-assembled circuit boards meet stringent regulatory and customer standards, with a focus on compliance, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer supports both product quality and the Quality Management System (QMS) across the production lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with review manufacturing and inspection processes to maintain consistent SMT PCB assembly quality.
  • Collaborating with senior Quality Engineers to interface with military/aerospace customers and government inspectors (e.g., DCMA) on quality issues and audits.
  • Ensuring proper use of IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 standards and industry best practices.
  • Analyzing manufacturing and process data, create action plans, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM-related field.
  • 2+ years of quality or manufacturing engineering experience in an EMS environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required due to ITAR compliance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ITAR).
  • Proficiency with Lean Six Sigma tools and quality/reliability engineering statistics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong team player with the ability to drive problem-solving and risk management activities
  • Experience in supplier quality management and process validation.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Compensation The estimated annual salary range for this position is $60,00.00 to $90,000. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, education, years of relevant experience, and specific expertise in the electronics manufacturing industry.
