Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Quality Engineer for Eurofighter, Tornado & FCAS Software and Avionic Projects (d/f/m)
As Quality Engineer (Engineering Quality Manager) you will play a key role in our organization by acting as the guardian of conformity and customer quality requirements and expectations, leading quality aspects along the product development lifecycle and in service support. You will be part of a dynamic international team and will be in direct contact with our Customers and Suppliers. As Quality Engineer for Software and Avionic Projects you will be responsible for the quality aspects of the Airbus DS Military Aircrafts System, Software and Hardware within projects developed in-house and/or by our suppliers.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Determination of Quality Management/Quality Assurance (QM/QA) requirements and measures for the System/Software/Hardware verification/qualification processes in accordance with customer requirements and derivation of the product specific qualification and delivery requirements within complex projects.

Monitoring, control and development of internal and external suppliers to ensure fulfillment and adherence to the customer requirements and approved processes/procedures

Monitoring of development, manufacturing and in-service processes: analysis of Non-Conformities and their trends based on Key-Performance-Indicators (KPI), problem-solving (PPS, 5W, 8D), definition of corrective/preventive actions

Selection, development and implementation of quality and continuous improvement measures according to the relevant standards and project particularities

Contribution to and performance of internal and external product-related audits
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in Electrical/Software/ Aerospace/Electrotechnical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent

Experience in/knowledge of the area of Quality Management/Assurance (within development systems would be a plus)

Experience in/knowledge of System/Software/Hardware development lifecycles with regard to product/service/process assurance, specific A/C development standards (e.g. DO-178, DO-278, DO-254...) would be a plus

Experience with Aircraft and in particular with the Eurofighter, Tornado or other Weapon Systems, are welcomed

Language skills: business fluent English, German would be a plus
