Quality Lead (QAQC Ops)

This is a professional quality position with QA/QC responsibilities, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Lead with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the quality of our products/services throughout the entire lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Your role will be essential in delivering products that meet customer expectations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and optimizing overall business performance.

You are required to lead and manage the Quality Team, providing direction, mentoring and support

Job Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

• Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures.

• Conduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.

• Manage certification audits and maintain compliance including ISO Integrated System (9001, 14001, 45001) and Halal etc.

• Management Representative for ISO Integrated System

• Collaborate with production/development teams to establish quality standards and ensure adherence to them.

• Monitor product/service quality metrics, analyze data, and provide reports to management.

• Track, investigate, and resolve customer complaints and product issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality-related risks and develop risk mitigation plans.

Product/Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

• Implement statistical tools and quality methodologies to analyze and improve processes.

• Collaborate with R&D or engineering teams to introduce new products or implement product changes with quality in mind.

Quality Control:

• Oversee the testing and inspection of products and processes to ensure quality standards are met.

• Develop and maintain inspection procedures and inspection criteria.

• Work with procurement to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.

Other tasks:

• Supervise and train Chemist, Lab Technicians and Interns where applicable.

• Oversee day-to-day activities of quality team to ensure smooth operation by working closely with other departments including production, engineering, procurement and warehouse.

• Provide formal reports on plant performance and issues.

• Lead efforts to ensure good 5S in the laboratory to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

• Ad-hoc duties/assignments by supervisor.

• SAP knowledge is a must. Product BOM/Master Recipe/COA profile setup etc. is an advantage

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry or related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in quality management in manufacturing industry

• Proven experience in quality engineering or quality assurance roles.

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of problem-solving skills; Organized, Quality / Meticulous.

• Team player with strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills that can complete tasks with proper time management.
