Are you ready to drive quality excellence? We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team and lead the way in APQP implementation, product design support, and continuous improvement. You’ll be key in managing PFMEA, MSA, and PPAP while working with dynamic teams to ensure we meet the highest standards. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical and quality management skills to work with minimum supervision and contribute to the overall success of MTS’ quality objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • APQP Development: Support and develop APQP plans and ensure agreed quality activities meet business needs.
  • Product Design & Process Support: Provide guidance on product design and manufacturing processes, supporting the creation of PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to monitor compliance with quality standards and address non-conformance issues.
  • Quality Communication: Regularly communicate with project teams to report on quality risks, issues, and performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and contribute to process improvement reviews across the business.
  • Contractual & Compliance Support: Review contractual quality requirements and support with compliance audits and quality system reviews.
  • Customer Interface: Establish strong relationships with customers, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective/preventative measures.
  • Training: Assist in training and mentoring junior staff within the Quality Department.
  • Health & Safety: Support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Quality plans and policies

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in manufacturing and Quality Assurance, with a proven ability to work independently and manage quality activities. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can drive quality improvements across the business.


Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in APQP and core tools such as PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Experience in a similar Quality Engineer role, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • A self-motivated individual who works well independently with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate must hold or be able to meet the appropriate Security Clearance as required.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Technical qualifications in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with technical workshops, such as CNC, Welding, Testing, or Fitting.

Skills Required
