JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
- The Quality Engineer/BOS Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining Business Operating Systems.
- This position has direct responsibility to plan and execute Quality BOS deliverables.
- BOS Quality procedure development and maintenance.
- Completion and submission of customer PPAP.
- Review and approval of supplied material annual PPAP’s.
- Management of Layered Process Audit / 5S audit schedules, completion, and corrective action implementation.
Responsibility
- Define BOS Objectives and obtain Quality Manager’s approval of targets.
- Lead Plant cross-functional teams to ensure that the BOS objectives are met.
- Responsible for coordinating BOS / IATF certification audits.
- Develop the process to implement, achieve and maintain BOS / IATF certification.
- Maintain Document control per BOS requirements.
- Responsible for deploying BOS Corporate document releases.
- Responsible for auditing the BOS / IATF processes and procedures on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for training all Plant departments and teams in BOS procedures and IATF requirements.
- Responsible for providing awareness when changes and/or updates are included in BOS procedures and /or TS 16949 to all different plant teams.
- Responsible for maintaining all Plant Business operating systems document revisions.
- Quality Engineer/BOS Coordinator supports Quality Analyst responsibilities during an absence, which include but are not limited to conducting Poke Yoke Audits, Complete Seat Audits, and processing of non-conforming material.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
- A high school diplomas minimum is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and ability to inspire individuals to improve performance.
Experience Requirements:
- Three (3) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with IATF requirement experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Organizational and administrative skills related to documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to speak effectively to a group of team members or customers.
