Position Summary:

The End of Line (EOL) Inspector is responsible for performing final inspections of finished goods at the end of the production line to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in identifying defects, verifying product functionality, and maintaining compliance with internal quality procedures before products are packaged and shipped.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual and functional inspections of finished products for defects, damage, or quality non-conformance
  • Use inspection tools and equipment (e.g., gauges, test stands, checklists) to verify product specifications
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation before release
  • Accurately record inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken
  • Communicate quality concerns to team leads, supervisors, or quality assurance staff promptly
  • Collaborate with production team members to prevent recurring issues and ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection and work areas
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Basic computer skills for logging inspection data
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Work Environment:

The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical fitness to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Must be able to lift up to 80lbs-100lb with assistance. Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
