Data Observability and Quality Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Observability & Quality Engineer to join our data team and help us maintain the highest standards of data reliability and integrity. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our data pipelines, systems, and datasets meet quality standards, are transparent, and are actively monitored for consistency and performance. You will work across the organization to set up proactive monitoring systems, define data quality frameworks, and identify opportunities to improve data quality throughout the data lifecycle. Your work will enable teams to make better decisions by ensuring they have access to reliable, high-quality data at all times.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop monitoring systems to track the quality, integrity, and availability of data across pipelines.
- Implement automated checks for data quality, consistency, and completeness.
- Set up alerting and monitoring systems to catch issues before they affect production data.
- Work with data engineering teams to enforce data quality standards across platforms.
Must Have Skills:
- 7+ years in data quality management and data observability.
- Experience working with data pipeline monitoring and automation tools (e.g., Airflow, Kafka).
- Strong knowledge of data observability tools and platforms (e.g., Airflow, DataDog, Prometheus).
- Expertise in data quality frameworks, including consistency checks, null checks, etc.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and monitoring data pipelines.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
