Otto international is looking for an experienced Quality Controller in shanghai office, who will control the quality of products by carrying out in-line and final inspection to ensure that the products can meet the standard of our customers, in order to reduce claim ratio and short shipment and to strive for Operational Excellence in performing role responsibilities.
How will you make a difference?
• Conduct in-line and final inspections to ensure that the requirements of the customers are met
• Involved in the factory production process, in order to secure the quality and delivery of orders
• Check production status and alert when foreseeing a risk in delivery
• Provide technical support to factories
• Report the inspection status by communicating with supervisor and factories on quality issues and preparing inspection reports to ensure that the products can be shipped on time, based on buyer’s standard
• Assist vendor / manufacturer on rework solutions when a failure of inspection occurs
• Be responsible for vendor’s continuous quality KPI improvement (claim ratio)
• Evaluate claim to find the reason and give improvement comments to department manager
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
Who we are looking for?
• At least 5 years’ QC experience in European market, German market experience preferred
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes for indoor & outdoor furniture, household goods and home decoration products.
• Strong quality inspection skills, familiar with ISO9000 series / AQL systems.
• Proficient with MS Office applications, including Outlook.
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Able to work independently as well as cooperate within a team
• Excellent communication skills, solution-oriented with a proactive mindset.
