We have a new opportunity as a Quality Control Supervisor at our headquarter location in Surprise, AZ. Quality Control Inspectors visually inspect all product going through the factory within their assigned areas. This position is carried out in a professional, courteous, and non-biased manner, with a “Team” approach. The Quality Control Coordinator is also required to create, process and “upload” documents into the company’s data base pertaining to all quality processes (which include hard copies if necessary, the use of computers, iPad’s, etc). The Quality Control Coordinator inspects product (including components and subcomponents) visually and with the use of aids including gauges, tape measures, a variety of inspection tools, etc. and finalize/provide a pass/fail outcome on all work. Inspectors are not “production” personnel, and therefore have a separate reporting structure from production and do not perform any production related work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with operations, project teams & quality manager to identify quality issues and work to improve processes help ensure the highest quality product
  • Supervise quality team and identify issues to be addressed and monitored on the production lines
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on modular systems, components, and equipment to verify their functionality and adherence to quality standards and specifications
  • Work professionally with other leads, production personnel, finishing crews (including other exterior personnel), and “others” to report, address, and document quality issues and concerns.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party inspectors, auditors, and city/county representatives - Including but not limited to UL, Nucor, NETA partners, AHJs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Document and track all quality inspections using electronic reporting app, paper documents and any other EIG assigned method(s).
  • Read and understand production/finish details, shop drawings and spool sheets.
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), building codes, project-specific technical specifications and approved submittals
  • Help create and implement the proper quality check(s) utilizing tools.
  • Help manage calibration of tools as needed specific to the production areas
  • Attend any training that aids in job functions (roles and responsibilities).
  • Manage and maintain document creation, flow, distribution, and uploading (which may include digital and hard copies).
  • Assist in preparing for all audits of the shop and of the QC manual.
  • Aid in training new and existing employees.
  • Meet quality inspection requirements to assist in production flow.
  • Document review, control and improvement.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and productive team atmosphere.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring and training QC inspectors and junior staff
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • Maintain and provide a clean and organized work environment.
  • Dress appropriately for the work performed (and meeting all company safety requirements).
  • Crosstrain and assist Quality Control Inspectors in various areas (including the Finish Shop).
  • Actively promote a safe working environment (as applicable) throughout the entire factory.
  • Able to use and read measuring tape, micrometers, calipers, multimeter, and other measuring devices in the performance of their duties.
  • Able to operate electronic devices such as iPhone, iPad, and capable to use Microsoft suite products such as Excel, Word, Outlook programs, etc.
