Job Description:

The Quality Control (QC) Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, with a background in military and aerospace standards such as AS9100, MIL-PRF-19500, and MIL-STD-750.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the QC team to ensure all products meet the required quality standards through incoming, in-process and outgoing inspections.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures and processes in compliance with AS9100, MIL-PRF-19500, and MIL-STD-750.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standard procedures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor QC staff on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Prepare quality reports for management.
  • Ensure all quality control documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
  • Ensure all quality control activities are documented accurately and in a timely manner utilizing tools including manufacturing software, Microsoft Dynamics Axapta.
  • Stay current with industry standards and advancements in quality control methodologies.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing quality control, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, MIL-PRF-19500, and MIL-STD-750 standards is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing ERP and quality tools and software, Microsoft Dynamics Axapta preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
