We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused Quality Control (QC) Supervisor to lead a team of skilled QC inspectors supporting inspections and testing at the Piketon site and various supplier locations. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to ensure all inspection and testing activities meet the standards of the Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD) as well as NRC and DOE requirements. What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll oversee daily QC operations by assigning inspectors, supporting project schedules, and ensuring high‑quality inspection and testing activities at both onsite and supplier locations. You’ll guide the training and development of QC and NDT personnel, provide technical expertise as a Level III NDT Inspector when needed, and ensure procedures and documentation meet regulatory and industry standards. You’ll collaborate with suppliers, support audits and readiness reviews, participate in investigations, and serve as a key interface with NRC and DOE regulators. Throughout your work, you’ll champion safety, maintain compliance, and help drive continuous improvement across the QC program.
We’d Love to Hear from Candidates with
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” level security clearance
• Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience with 4–6 years of QC work in an industrial or nuclear setting
• Experience in quality control for design, construction, or field activities
• Certification in at least two of the following:
– Receiving, Dimensional, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Inspection
– Visual Weld Inspection (AWS CWI preferred)
– Leak Testing (Helium preferred)
– Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Radiographic, or Ultrasonic Inspection
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe)
A Successful Candidate Also Brings
• Current DOE “Q” or “L” clearance
• Experience working at NRC‑regulated sites
• Bachelor’s in a technical or scientific field
• ASQ certifications
• Lead NQA‑1 Auditor certification
• Knowledge of NRC/DOE regulations (NQA‑1, DOE O 414.1D)
• Military experience
